Commitment To Best Practice
We firmly believe that what we do is worth doing well. Over the years we have collected a number of quality awards that confirm we are doing what we do well.
The Law Society’s mark of quality in Legal Practice Management is LEXCEL. The firm is audited for best practice in all aspects of management including strategic management, financial management, personnel, recruitment, operations and service. Only a select few firms have this award.
The Government mark of quality in training and development of staff. This accredits our recruitment, selection, induction, training and on-going career development of all staff in the firm, whether legal or admin. We have held this award since 1996 and have a strong level of staff retention as a result.
The Legal Services Commission audit against the Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) to ensure that firms offering Specialist legal services are well managed and work is well organised. We hold the SQM in the civil categories of Family, Housing and Police Actions. (Our PI work is not under the SQM as it is largely not Legal Aid work, but it is accredited independently under Lexcel.)
The Legal Services Commission also audit Criminal Services under the SQM, with special reference to case management and outcome analysis.
The Law Society accredits individual practitioners against their specialist panels, and awards the logo to the left to firms with one or more Solicitors who have achieved the required standard. This one is for the Family Panel accreditation.
As above, this logo is awarded to firms with one or more Solicitors who reach the Crime Duty Solicitor standard of accreditation. There are several Duty Solicitors in our Crime department.
