Jim Murray completed his law training at Nottingham Law School in 1980 and has more than 30 years legal experience.
A former welfare officer and social worker, he established James Murray Solicitors in 1991 to try and help vulnerable members of his local community. His dedication to the local area has helped him establish a trusted reputation and strong client base in the region over the past 19 years.
During his time as a successful criminal lawyer Jim has been involved in a series of high profile court cases and is a frequent commentator on legal issues in the local and national media.
He has been a local councillor in Bootle Constituency for Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council and is also the Liberal Democrat’s parliamentary candidate for Bootle for the 2010 General Election.
