The Team
You will develop a close working relationship with the person handling your file. We look to provide a single point of contact for you as much as possible. However, when your adviser is in court or away from the office, colleagues will look you after so that your calls are always answered.
Duty Solicitor
Lorraine Fletcher LLB (hons)
Lorraine, a graduate from Nottingham Trent University is a Solicitor who specialises in representing parents or extended family members involved with Local Authorities and in Care Proceedings before the Family Courts. She has been part of the team at James Murray Solicitors since 1999. As a parent herself, Lorraine knows only too well that the best place for any child is with their parents if this is possible. She will assist you and be with you throughout all the proceedings to advise, represent you and support you through what will be a difficult process.
Lorraine has also had many years experience as a Criminal Solicitor within our practice and is still a duty solicitor. This experience is invaluable when parents face criminal charges as well as Care proceedings, as a result of harm they have alleged to have caused their children. Often, the proceedings will run in two different Courts at the same time and as such it is helpful to know the impact one set of proceedings will have upon the other.

Donna Dean LLB (hons)
Solicitor
Donna is a Solicitor and the supervisor of the family law department. A graduate of Huddersfield University, she has eight years experience as a solicitor and has been working for James Murray for four years.
Donna specialises in divorce with financial matters to resolve and complex child law cases. Donna will advise, represent and guide you through what will be a stressful period.

Jacqueline Thiis LLB (hons)
Solicitor
She specialises in divorce and resolving financial disputes following the breakdown of relationships. She also deals with complex issues involving children. As a solicitor Jacqueline will advise, represent and guide you through negotiations and/or the Court process.

Sara Mullins
Paralegal
A graduate of Sheffield University, Sara has built a trusted relationship with clients over her 22 years experience in family law.
She specialises in divorce, financial disputes and complex child law cases.
Sara has handled countless cases of this type in her 22 years in practice and will advise and negotiate on your behalf to the case’s conclusion. Sara regularly deals with divorces where high value assets are involved.

Lucy Edney – Paralegal
A graduate of Keele University Lucy specialises in contact/residence and domestic violence issues. Lucy will negotiate on your behalf the best possible outcome for you and your children. Jonathan Mitchell LLB (hons) – Paralegal
A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, Jonathan specialises in divorce (without financial matters to resolve) and children contact issues.
Jonathan will advise and support you in obtaining your divorce. He can also negotiate contact problems on your behalf to ensure you are regularly seeing your children or seek compliance with agreements on your behalf if a parent is continually letting your children down.
